A dolphin swimming near Chaiten, Chile. I took this photo one morning from our wild camp along the Carretera Austral in Chilean Patagonia. In the foreground, a dophin swims just offshore. In the background, giant Corcovado Volcano serves up the perfect backdrop. During our trip north through Chile, we had a string of picturesque wild camps along mirror-like fjords, placid lakes, roaring rivers, quiet beaches, and bone dry desert. Waking up to views like this is why we overland.
